Founded in 1931, Mayfield Senior School of the Holy Child Jesus is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for young women grades 9-12 sponsored by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus. Mayfield educates the minds and hearts of compassionate and inquisitive students, and guides them to become joyful, faith-filled, confident young women. Located in a lovely residential neighborhood of Pasadena with a historic mansion as the main hall (Strub Hall), Mayfield currently enrolls 330 girls with a budget of $11 million and endowment of $13 million. By the end of the 2022 fiscal year, Mayfield’s Development Department will have received over $1.4 million in annual giving and scholarships. Mayfield has embarked on a five-year $17.5 million capital campaign renovating Strub Hall, the heart of their beautiful eight-acre campus, and is ahead of targeted benchmarks to reach the goal by 2025 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Mayfield Senior School on the Bellefontaine campus. Reporting to the Head of School and as a member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Development is responsible for overseeing and executing Mayfield’s development activities.
The Director of Development will oversee a program that includes an annual fund, corporate and foundation relations, alumnae relations, special events, capital campaign, major giving and donor stewardship. The Director of Development will supervise a staff of four and will work in conjunction with campaign counsel to raise the remaining funds for the Strub Hall Capital Campaign.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven to ten years of broad-based development experience with knowledge of current and evolving trends in capital campaigns, major gifts, annual giving, and alumnae programming. An exceptional record of personal achievement in cultivating donors and raising gifts as well as documented success in creating and managing a comprehensive development program is important. A passion for empowering young women in education is highly valued. A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
