Description

Clockshop, an artist-run arts non-profit based in Elysian Valley, is looking for a part time  social media coordinator who will take on the coordinating of our social media platforms.  Social Media Coordinator responsibilities include coordinating and creating posts across  all of our platforms and also attending events and posting. 

This person should have professional social media experience, ideally with a  background in the arts or experiences working with/for an arts organization. Bilingual  Spanish/English is ideal for this position. 
Clockshop is a collaborative work environment and the project manager will work closely  on projects with Clockshop's Curator and Director of Strategic Programs, the Executive  Director and Graphic Designer.

Responsibilities 

  • Work with our communication strategist to develop a successful social media  campaign for all programs and projects. 
  • Assist and coordinate social media across three platforms – Instagram,  Facebook and Twitter. 
  • Develop and update a social media calendar. 
  • Develop and update a consistent style guide to be used across all social media  platforms, and the website. 
  • Regular social media engagement including responding to follower comments,  answering questions, and reposting and sharing things from other organizations,  particularly orgs that we partner with. 
  • Track and present social media analytics once a month at our staff meeting. • Work closely with the Designer and Education & Public Programs Director to  coordinate event promotion efforts.
  • Attend at least one Clockshop program per month and take photos. 

 

Requirements 

  • Experience in the arts or communication field 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Fluency in Spanish 
  • Comfortable with quick turn-around projects

 

Commitment & Compensation 
This job is PT and will require one day in the office. Clockshop staff meets briefly every  Monday morning, so it’d be ideal if the Social Media Coordinator was in attendance to  catch everyone up on analytics, be in the loop about upcoming programs, and just get to  know the team in general. 

Again, we are seeking someone with professional experience coordinating social media  for an organization or company, not simply someone who has/is personally active on  social media.

Approx hours/week: 10-15 hours 
Hourly rate: commensurate with experience and TBD based on current rate
