The Associate Designer and Digital Arts Coordinator position at Peace Over Violence (POV) integrates design and digital media into the delivery of services and execution of POV programming. POV is a 50 year old social service, social change and social service agency headquartered in downtown Los Angeles. POV design and brand marketing is an integral part of agency recognition used as a communication tool and means of advancing social justice and transformation. This is an opportunity to join an award-winning Design and Communications team at a multicultural and multi-generational agency. This individual will work directly with the Director of Design and Technology to ensure efficient and effective use of photography, print and digital media and maintain brand consistency across all agency materials. They will also manage the operations of the POV online store; develop and maintain a physical and digital archive of POV’s outreach material and campaigns; assist with conceptualizing and designing social media posts and assets, posting, monitoring and tracking social media accounts. The ideal candidate is an organized individual and team player with tremendous creativity and attention to detail. 


  • Manage the flow of design tasks and completion of design projects that come from varied departments, divisions and as assigned by immediate supervisor
  • Maintain POV’s brand across all POV material and media
  • Assist with documenting POV events and activities through photography and video; maintain photography and video files
  • Assist in scheduling and shooting portrait photography following POV’s Brand Guidelines
  • Design outreach material and educational tools for program and agency use, campaigns, social media, emails, and other POV projects
  • Work closely with Development Team to assist in strategic marketing and fundraising initiatives, including digital media planning and strategy
  • Manage and develop POV’s online store in coordination with Development and Communications plan; develop product ideas, launch new items, manage inventory, provide customer service, and report sales to the Fiscal and Development lead.
  • Assist with conceptualizing and designing social media posts and assets, posting, monitoring and tracking social media accounts
  • Manage physical and digital archive of outreach materials and campaigns
  • Design and manage yearly publication of Annual Report
  • Assist the Development Team with setting priorities and monitoring workflows
  • Assist Development Team Lead organize and manage project management tools
  • Interacts productively with staff, volunteers, consultants, vendors, interns, clients, and guests



  • Must have an interest in issues regarding the prevention of gender-based violence and understand the mission and vision of POV
  • Must have experience and skill working in a Mac environment using tools that include Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Dropbox, Acrobat, Google Suite, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Trello or other project management applications
  • Must be flexible, energetic, able to work in a fast-paced environment and on tight deadlines
  • Excellent organization and design skills; ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop new content for agency presentations, website and outreach
  • Comfortable within culturally diverse communities
  • California driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Bilingual a plus 
  • Portrait photography and editing background a plus
