The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF), established in 1995 and significantly reimagined in 2012, is a  leading model for philanthropy and community engagement. With the goal of reaching all of Los Angeles and to  be a model for sports teams worldwide, LADF is bigger than baseball. Focusing on education, health care,  homelessness, and youth development, LADF has ambitions to be the city’s premier charity. LADF has invested  more than $32 million in programs and grants to nonprofits, and fundraising has increased by 1,000% since  2012. In 2020, LADF was awarded ESPN’s Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year, Beyond Sport's Sport for  Reduced Racial Inequalities Collective Impact Award, and the Aspen Institute Project Play Champion.  

LADF is in the midst of an exciting period of growth and seeks a Development Supervisor to further develop and  support the organization’s long-term sustainability while meeting annual multimillion-dollar fundraising goals in stadium and beyond based on LADF’s program impact and grantmaking objectives.  

Title: Supervisor, Development  

Reports to: Director, Development and Communications  

Position Description 

LADF runs and funds programs throughout Los Angeles through increased engagement of individual donors,  corporate and philanthropic foundations, and a passionate Dodger fan base. LADF turns fans into funders in  order to swing big for Angelenos.  

The Development Supervisor will support the day-to-day operations of the Development department and  frontline fundraising with fans and donors of all levels. Working closely with a variety of partners, the  Development Supervisor will organize outreach efforts and support the planning and execution of all fundraising  activities, in-stadium fundraising, special events, recurring fundraising programs, and online initiatives. This  position will primarily be responsible for the overall management of the 50/50 raffle, per California State  Guidelines, at all Dodger home games and the development, implementation, and promotion of all in-stadium  fundraising, ribbon boards, silent auction, retail, sweepstakes, online auctions, and player memorabilia and  donor experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities 

50/50 Raffle  

  • Oversee day to day management of the 50/50 raffle. 
  • Supervise staff related to the 50/50 raffle. 
  • Aid in hiring and training of 50/50 Raffle Sellers and Game Day Coordinators.
  • Supervise and manage game day staff, including Game Day Coordinators, 50/50 Raffle Sellers, Game Day  Assistants, and Associates to ensure smooth game day event operations at every Dodger home game.  • Manage 50/50 technology, records and files  
  • Set goals in concert with the Director, Development and Communications. 
  • Ensure consistent compliance with the California State Guidelines for the 50/50 raffle. • Assist in sponsorship acquisition for the 50/50 raffle.  
  • Design quality improvements, compliance and program evaluation plans, and provide oversight of these  plans (i.e. surveys, focus groups, etc.). 


Fundraising Programs & Activities 

  • Oversee day-to-day management and compliance of in-stadium fundraising events and programs – including but not limited to 50/50 raffle, ribbon boards, silent auction, retail, and sweepstakes. • Support and assist with fundraising campaigns and events, including but not limited to the Blue  Diamond Gala, LADF 5K/10K, breakfasts/luncheons, fan-based events, online campaigns, Dodger  spouses’ events, and other special events.  
  • Track and record clear and timely records of contacts, donor giving history, payment details, tax  acknowledgement receipts, and notes from donor meetings in Salesforce  
  • Manage online giving programs and portals such as LADF’s online registration programs, websites, text to-give programs, GivingFuel, and donor platforms.  
  • Implement processes to ensure efficiency in all in-stadium and special event fundraising and programs.  • Work with appropriate third-party vendors, consultants, Los Angeles Dodgers (LAD) and Major League  Baseball (MLB) departments to plan and execute fundraising events.  
  • Work with LADF, LAD, and MLB marketing teams to ensure all in-stadium and external marketing assets  are secured for fundraising promotions. 
  • Manage department budgets and tracking toward revenue goals.  
  • Be data-driven and lead the program measurement and analysis of all in-stadium fundraising activity in  order to meet revenue goals. 
  • Work with the Director, Development & Communications to develop and maintain current knowledge  regarding fundraising information/trends. 


Candidate Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years relevant experience in nonprofit, foundation, or sports-based fundraising 
  • Experience managing fundraising activities and programs to meet revenue goals 
  • Extremely organized and detailed-oriented 
  • Ability to interact, establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to raise  funds for the Foundation 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize time and priorities, and meet concurrent  deadlines 
  • Experience working in teams and leading teams to achieve shared goals 
  • Experience working with organized sports organizations a plus 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Professional work ethic and ability to manage information confidentially 
  • Flexibility in approach and willingness to adapt when necessary 
  • Proactive and action-oriented personality; strong sense of pace and urgency 
  • Ability to work during the Dodger baseball season, all homestands with work hours regularly occurring evenings and weekends  
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and database programs (Salesforce a plus).  • Strong passion for and commitment to LADF’s mission, programs, and values
