The Youth Mentoring Connection (YMC) Grants Manager will be responsible for all aspects of foundation and government grants development, proposal writing, and contract management including researching new funding sources; program design; preparing and submitting applications; budgeting; tracking tasks and deadlines; reporting outcomes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable success in writing, securing, and administering all types of grant proposals; project management experience; ability to create and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Candidates interested in growing into an expanded role including the full range of YMC funding streams, events, outreach and marketing are encouraged to apply as well. Knowledge of: Grant writing principles and practices; standard office procedures; basic accounting procedures; principles and practices of program/project design and development; applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations; use of computers and basic software systems including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Offers of employment are contingent upon proof of a valid California Driver’s License and State automobile insurance; acceptable driving record substantiated by a DMV printout; completion of a substance abuse screening; fingerprint background check.
