Description

Venice Arts seeks an animation teaching artist to lead an in-person, COVID safe Summer Camp for a class of 12 students, aged 10-13 years old. This 2-week camp meets Monday-Friday from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm from July 6th– July 16th, 2021. There is potential for additional work/growth. 

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is an animator with experience in animation pre-to-post production, background in stop motion design and animation techniques. Multimedia and/or digital animation a plus. Must have prior experience teaching young people and be proficient with building a syllabus with sequenced lesson plans that demonstrates an experiential and project-based approach to animated storytelling. An understanding of the educational equity needs of low-income youth a plus, as is being bilingual (Spanish/English). 
 
Compensation:
Total pay for the period will be $1250, which includes compensated time for syllabus and lesson preparation and/or other classroom related activities.
