Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA), a national clean transportation and energy consulting firm, is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist with 1 to 3 years experience in marketing, media, or other communications to join the GNA Creative division in our Santa Monica office.

Our team is driven by our passion to work together with industry, government, and communities to help build a sustainable future through the use of clean energy and advanced transportation technologies, policies, and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and expand upon your existing written and verbal communications skills to take complex information and distill it down into concise and effective content to help advance the clean energy and vehicle technology market. Through your work, you will support strategic communications campaigns for a variety of projects and clients spanning the full spectrum of the clean energy and transportation industries.

The ideal candidate for this role must be organized, creative, driven, and have an interest in clean tech and sustainability.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Support media and communications projects for GNA’s clients, including educational webinars, newsletters, and media campaigns
  • Work with a team to develop client-ready collateral including one sheets, slide decks, brochures, and graphics—going from the initial concept to delivering a polished finished product
  • Create succinct and compelling web and email copy, develop initial wireframes and design outline
  • Assist in the development of copy for thought leadership articles, websites, brochures, emails, etc.
  • Manage regular content updates to WordPress websites.
  • Identify, and maintain knowledge of, key industry trends and issues of concern to GNA’s clients for thought leadership article opportunities
  • Support creative strategies to drive media coverage for clients and projects
  • Writing and editing press releases, and coordinating distribution of releases

 

Qualifications:

First and foremost, we are looking for a team member that is passionate about learning and sustainability. Beyond that, qualifications include:

  • 1 to 3 years of communications experience, preferably in a client-facing environment
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and possess a strong ability to adapt, multitask and manage multiple deadlines at once
  • Prior experience with project coordination, including productive group collaborations, driving timelines and follow through on action items
  • Strong writing, editing, research and analytical skill
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology or related field
