Teaching Artist - Photographer

The ideal candidate is a graduate of a photography program with experience in documentary, photojournalism, and/or street photography, strongly preferred.  The candidate should have at least two years experience teaching photography to young people (both middle- and high-school strongly preferred); experience teaching at the beginning to advanced levels, a strong positive. Must be proficient at building a syllabus with sequenced lesson plans and demonstrate an interactive, experiential, and project-based approach. The candidate should have knowledge of historic and contemporary photographers and photographic practices. An understanding of the educational equity needs of low-income youth a plus, as is being bilingual (Spanish/English). 

Must be available to teach Wednesdays from 3:30 – 6:30 pm 
February 3– April 28, 2021.
