Amplifier seeks a consultant to support the Board of Directors, staff, and key stakeholders in a strategic planning process to create a two to three-year strategic plan to guide the administrative and programmatic direction of the organization. The consultant will work with a strategic planning task force made up of 6-7 members of the staff and board to craft and implement the strategic planning process. The target is to have the strategic plan finalized by the end of January 2021. 

Strategic Planning Goals 

  • Identify priority areas for growth and specific goals for the organization to pursue over the next two to three years; create a prioritized list of goals and strategies 
  • Create of a timetable of implementation with defined objectives and measurable benchmarks 
  • Develop a framework to help staff determine what new programs and opportunities to say “yes” to, and what to decline 
  • Answer key organizational questions and determine staffing needs and how best to build internal capacity 
  • Lead and facilitate two or three task-force meetings in November and December 2020 in order to develop the strategic plan 
  • Codify conclusions into an easy-to-digest set of recommendations/decisions to be approved by the full board of directors.

 

Background 
Amplifier is a nonprofit design lab that builds art and media experiments. We design and distribute art that engages people in the creation of a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future. Since 2015, we've worked with hundreds of renowned artists, distributed over a million pieces of art, and sent free artwork to hundreds of thousands of students across the United States. 
 

Scope 
We expect this project to be between 40 and 60 hours of work between November and January 2020.
