Description

We are looking for a digital strategist to join our team. We propose a freelance (1099) payment package for three months so we can get to know each other, with the offer of a full-time package if the fit is right after 90 days.

Our team is virtual but based in Boston, NYC, DC, and Los Angeles and our clients are global. We offer generous upside compensation from the start if you bring in new clients.

About the Position 

You will help create digital programming and provide excellent client service. Day to day tasks include: 

  • Manage project timelines and budgets
  • Work with team to understand and develop key messaging
  • Develop promotional copy that incorporates effective calls to action and client messaging
  • Create systems and processes that help the team provide even more excellent client service
  • Streamline financial management and help our Managing director with organizational management and development
  • Identify and recruit social media influencers for campaigns; present options to clients
  • Manage content creator contracts and payment terms (we will train you on our system)
  • Work with client to manage editorial calendar, social media planning: execute online campaigns-- using email, social media, digital ads, and earned media to engage target audiences
  • Collaborate with other Women Online team members and specialists (e.g design, analytics, and reporting, etc.) to integrate their work into a larger project
  • Prepare regular client updates and phone check-ins
  • Produce the best client service imaginable

 

Qualifications

  • You are a strong writer who can translate a brand’s messages into web and social media copy and visual, engaging content
  • You understand digital marketing, platforms, and the content that moves women in particular 
  • You are passionate about social change and the power of digital media to help drive social good
  • PR, digital, or ad agency experience is a plus
  • You are organized and a strong project manager
  • You are nimble, entrepreneurial, and willing to manage your own time and workflow effectively 
  • Fantastic people skills and EQ

 

Extra Credit for:

  • Understanding of digital analytics and metrics best practices
  • Passion for online community and your own online presence
  • Experience with market research and brand development 
  • Experience working on live events (in-person or online)
