RALLY is looking for a contracted Web Developer to join our team. We are open to explore full time opportunities in the future as your availability and our needs dictate. This role is responsible for the coding, design, and maintenance of our website and that of our clients. This person strives to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. The ideal candidate loves working with a variety of projects and people. You should have a creative and thoughtful approach to requests and collaborate with the team. The Web Developer has an innovative and curious mind with the ability to execute stunning visual storytelling pieces.

You should be comfortable creating and planning websites and landing pages and writing effective code to create a website using standard HTML/CSS practices. Planning and delivering web applications across multiple platforms is essential. You should have experience implementing contingency plans in case the site goes down, creating quality assurance tests to ensure website success, and using tools that monitor the ongoing performance of the firm’s website.

Collaboration is a necessary aspect of all our work. You will team up with the digital and design team to develop and maintain the website. Keeping in constant communication with colleagues and clients to develop and deploy their content is critical. At times, you may have to update policies to maintain requirements.



  • Developing and coding websites and updating websites built by others - knowledge of Wordpress a must
  • Designing email templates using MailChimp and updating email templates
  • Designing and building page wrappers and email templates for CRM platforms, such as Action Network, NationBuilder, EveryAction, and Click & Pledge
  • Setting up and managing DNS records, email settings, hosting companies, servers, etc. to launch and host websites, point domains, set up custom emails, etc.
  • Building custom landing pages using HTML/CSS
  • Performing UI designs and coding, creating reusable objects and templates, wireframes for web pages and email templates; manage maintenance, updates, expansions, and scaling of each design
  • Researching and suggesting new web products, applications, standard plug-ins and protocols
  • Following SEO and accessibility best practices for all projects



  • At least 5-7 years of experience as a web developer
  • Proficiency with content management systems—Wordpress is a must
  • Proficiency with Wordpress page builders such as Elementor, Divi, Oxygen, and more (open to other visual composers)
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Expertise with databases, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and everything in between
  • Experience with installing and supporting plugins
  • Optimize websites for efficient loading time, multiple browsers, and mobile responsive
  • Knowledge of SEO best principles and ability to structure site based on best practices 
  • Fluency with Google Analytics, Google Tag manager, and installing tracking pixels
  • Experience training or teaching staff on website development and management
  • Follows best practices for accessibility when developing sites



  • Experience collaborating with third parties
  • Experience working with Adobe XD wireframes and graphic designers 
  • Fluent in basic website accessibility features and UX functionality
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and meet quick deadlines
  • Experience working with CRMs, databases, and migrating user data
  • An effective communicator (verbal, written, interpersonal) to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Able to scope projects, provide timelines, and estimate hours required 
  • Be available for rare “emergencies” after hours
  • Self-directed professional who knows what needs to be done and operates with a sense of urgency, focus and discipline
