Description

This is a part-time temporary position. Reports to the Curriculum & Instruction Specialist. 

Salary: $15/hourly; minimum 15 hours a week with a total of 400 hours by March 1, 2021.

Workspace: This position is currently remote, but tech support can be provided. 

NOTE: Applicants must be currently enrolled as a university / college student. 

Description 

Dramatic Results uses the Design Thinking Process to develop curriculum with the end-user in mind. We focus on bringing professional artists (visual and performing arts) and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) professionals into traditional spaces to work with our students using communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. We collaborate with various audiences to discover new ways of closing the gap between education and professional industries. The design thinking process allows us to connect with our users, define the area of focus, come up with those wild ideas, and develop a prototype for testing. Through an iterative process we make new discoveries and tweak programming to meet the needs of all of our users all while making connections to career pathways. 
 


Prospective Projects: 

  • Observe Theater program and work with professional 
  • Theater Artists to empathize and debrief on the virtual experience 
  • Use the data collected to develop best practices for online instruction 
  • Work collaboratively with Education Engineers and STEAM professionals to develop and test workshops using the design thinking process 
  • Work with the Marketing Intern to develop a new resource to be added to our Teaching Toolbox. 

 

Qualifications 

Candidate Should Be Interested in Some or All of the Following Areas: 

  • Arts Education, visual and performing arts 
  • Virtual arts programming and collaborating in a digital environment (i.e. making magic) 
  • Exploring the art of communication; communicating with a variety of audiences (major key) 
  • Developing Interactive Tools for Educators (In the Dramatic Results world, this means everyone from our students to our working professionals) 
  • Art as a resource for supporting social and emotional learning 
  • Using Common Core Standards as a tool to develop the learner’s experience 
  • Developing and facilitating program development.
