PLUS ME Project is a community partner dedicated to empowering youth to build their confidence by teaching the art of storytelling. We are looking for an energetic, charismatic individual to provide motivational personal narrative presentations, workshops, and training sessions to students, parents, and educators throughout Southern California. We believe everyone has a story that matters and enjoy uplifting audiences with inspirational storytelling.

Position:

As a PLUS ME Facilitator you will visit different school sites throughout Southern California and conduct presentations and workshops to audiences of students, parents, and educators. This work will include sharing your own personal story and delivering PLUS ME content in a workshop setting. This part-time position will vary on hours based on time of year and number of opportunities scheduled throughout the school year (on average 2 – 10 hours per week).

Role Expectations:

  • Deliver engaging content inside classrooms to students, parents, and educators
  • Interact with diverse audiences with a positive demeanor consistent with PLUS ME Project
  • Participate in trainings and coaching sessions to improve skill and craft
  • Willingness to travel to various school sites throughout the city

 

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or current college 3rd/4th year student
  • Public speaking and/or facilitation experience
  • Demonstration of effective communication skills
  • Familiarity with and passion for motivating youth

 

Hours:

Flexible schedule (most opportunities will be Mon – Fri between the hours of 8 AM – 3 PM) For the 2019 - 2020 school year, all applicants must be available Wed. and Thurs. mornings
