Immediate opening for an Executive Assistant to the Artistic Director at the Social and Public Resource Center (SPARC) located in Venice, California. An ideal candidate is a college graduate with at least 4 years work experience and a demonstrated interest in public art, muralism, architecture, art education, or civic engagement fields. A Bilingual candidate with demonstrated experience and commitment to community organizing or other social justice related work in the non-profit sector is preferred.

Skills requirements are:

  • Knowledge of Los Angeles communities
  • Strong Macintosh capabilities including photoshop
  • Website building
  • Comfort with handling large image files
  • Excellent organizing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort with diverse populations
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as required for art openings and events
  • The successful applicant must be well organized and willing to work under deadlines and changing priorities.
