Description

The Advocacy Group seeks Marketing Assistant for its emerging Recovery Services business.

The Advocacy Group was founded to provide multidimensional support to the individual and the family struggling with addiction and mental health issues. Our mission is to serve the individual and the family struggling with addiction and mental illness. We seek a top flight, whip smart part time Marketing Assistant to support our growth in providing individualized recovery plans to clients throughout the United States.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage multiple marketing projects, including events to social media, from conception to completion by working closely with founder and relevant team members
  • Social Media - manage social media accounts and community, inclusive of monitoring accounts, responding to comments and inquiries, looping in relevant team members as needed, develop and manage visual content, including new post categories, develop social calendar and schedule posts, write post copy, develop and execute hashtag & geotag strategy, maintain aesthetics of Instagram tile to brand standards
  • CRM - Research and source CRM software, develop and manage CRM, integrate and categorize all contacts
  • Email - Design and send emails. Develop and maintain email list
  • Marketing Collateral - create content for event flyers to brand standards, manage flyer printing and inventory, develop and produce event materials and other marketing collateral as needed, create and distribute digital event invitations
  • Events - Support founder in event production and management, using timelines and clear communication with founder, keeping all deadlines and budget adherence, act as brand ambassador at industry events - speaking to potential clients and members of the media, influencers, and the general public on message as needed, set up, staff, and break down of event tables and booths as well as transporting brand collateral to and from events as needed
  • Work closely with founder and other principals on additional marketing projects as needed

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing or communications role, agency experience or experience working direct with a founder / entrepreneur strongly preferred
  • Ability to excel working directly with founder
  • Ability to effectively communicate with founder and potential clients
  • Experience with social media; Instagram savvy
  • Extensive knowledge of sobriety lifestyle and addiction and recovery industry
  • Highly resourceful, proactive and creative problem solver with ability to work in multi-faceted, fast-paced environment
  • Strong initiative with ability to self manage, set and meet deadlines
  • Excellent ability to handle shifting priorities as well as project feedback, so revisions can be made in a timely manner
  • Work or internship experience in addiction / recovery services a plus, but not required
  • B.S/B.A in Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred, but not required

 

Part time position
10 - 15 hours per week to start, with room to grow based on abilities
$20 - $30 / hr, depending on experience
