Venice Arts seeks a photographer to lead Camera Work, our beginning photography workshop for ages 14-18. Venice Arts photography classes integrate documentary based storytelling into the curriculum along with a foundation in the fundamentals of photography. The Teaching Artist must commit to our entire academic year, September 18, 2019–April 29, 2020 (no classes during the month of January) .
Must be a photographer, preferably with experience in documentary work or digital storytelling, multimedia a plus. Prior experience teaching young people photography is required.

The compensation for the full academic year ( fall and spring ) is $2960 for workshops taught over a 24–week period.
MISSION: Venice Arts mission is to ignite, expand, and transform the lives of Los Angeles’ low-income youth through photography and film education, and use our participatory storytelling practices to amplify the voices of underrepresented communities around the world.
