Venice Arts seeks an animator to lead our beginning animation workshop for ages 10-13. Venice Arts’ animation class integrates storytelling into the curriculum along with a foundation of animation techniques. The Teaching Artist must commit to our entire academic year, September 14, 2019–May 2, 2019. No classes for the month of January.
The ideal artist for this workshop is an animation educator with the ability to incorporate some foundational storytelling into the curriculum. Experience teaching art to youth in this age group (10-13 years old), and honoring them as young artists/creators, is required. An understanding of Visual and Performing Art Standards is a strong plus, as is experience developing arts education lesson plans. Must be able to both lead and work as a member of a teaching team.

Instructors are paid a fixed rate of $2960 for workshops taught over a 24–week period.
