Rise's LA2050 Challenge is a student-led campaign advocating to end college hunger and homelessness in Los Angeles. We are building a student movement to pilot innovative solutions to college student hunger and homelessness this fall semester (or quarter) at campuses across Los Angeles. These solutions will be informed by and co-created with over a dozen campus and community-based organizations who have joined our growing coalition. As our challenge grows, we are seeking several current college students in Los Angeles to serve as paid organizing fellows for our campaigns. We seek current college students who have the following attributes:

  • Strong commitment to serving their campuses and communities
  • Enthusiasm to address college hunger and homelessness on your campus and community
  • Entreprenurial mindset for designing and executing a campaign on your campus
  • Creativity to adapt to rapidly changing contexts
  • Commitment to an inclusive and intersectional approach to organizing

No previous experience is required, and we encourage students of all backgrounds and abilities to apply

Student Organizing Fellows will work with us for 10-20 hours per week, and earn $15 per hour for their work. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so please apply ASAP. If you have questions or concerns, email [email protected]
