Description

Under the supervision of the Curator, the Curatorial Assistant will provide administrative and research support to the Curator and will provide assistance on selected exhibitions and other curatorial projects as needed. Major administrative duties include responding to artist-in-residence project proposals; organizing and maintaining project files and various departmental filing systems; planning schedules and travel for artists; preparing drafts, final correspondence, memoranda, reports, tables, and other documents; and assisting with administrative duties related to the artist-in-residence program. Major curatorial duties include conducting research on compiling related information including checklist development and compilation of publication material for exhibitions and projects; and preparing, coordinating, and monitoring loan forms, contracts, and other necessary processing and approvals according to internal procedures.
