Beacon seeks Data Visualization and Design, Summer Associate to join its growing research team for a summer engagement. As a Data Visualization and Design, Summer Associate you will work with the research team, developing concepts, reference materials, creating assets, and doing design research. As a growing firm, Beacon welcomes creativity, an entrepreneurial mindset, and out-of-the-box thinking.

We are looking for Data Visualization and Design, Summer Associate whose skillset sits at the intersection of design and data. You live and breathe in the Adobe Creative Suite, but you're comfortable in Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in development and publication of research and outreach products, such as firm collateral, data visualizations, presentations, and pitch materials
  • Work with research team to design reports and prepare files for web publishing and digital printing
  • Assist in improvement of core graphic templates
  • Work with the research team and senior management to update and refresh existing design creative collateral

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • The minimum education requirements include 2 years’ design experience in school
  • Experience using quantitative data to create compelling stories or visualization
  • A passion for design, be a creative thinker and an innate instinct for what looks good
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge and passion for gestalt design principles of typography, layout and color.
  • Detailed, meticulous, and organized
  • Must be comfortable designing in various styles to fit various types of projects

Compensation

Full-time Summer Associates will be paid a monthly stipend based on experience and qualifications.
