Graphic Design Intern (Paid)
A small but busy firm seeks a creative Graphic Design Intern with experience in both print and electronic media. We’re looking for someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts and other designs. Candidates should have the ability to turn an idea into a compelling visual story across digital and print mediums. The successful candidate should have an intimate understanding of a variety of design platforms to support our clients. We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities and Duties
Create all visual aspects of reports, presentations, marketing materials, and possibly websites and other media, including infographics.
Work simultaneously on multiple projects based on current client workload.
Consult with research, communications, and sales teams to create cohesive designs that reflect a clients’ corporate cultures and goals
Put together disparate elements of a design created by another professional, such as the icons, photographs and other components necessary for a design.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing or related discipline, completed or in-progress.
Strong experience with Adobe Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, specifically with mockups, web design, and multimedia presentation
Some experience with professional commercial design desired
Experience working with WordPress templates
Adaptive design eye and skill
Excellent communication skills
Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
