Founded in 1908, Vista has a rich history as an innovative leader in the area of children and family services, continually evolving to serve the ever-changing needs of children, adolescents, families and the community. Vista’s mission is to provide comprehensive, family-centered social, educational, and behavioral health services, which encourage children, adolescents and their families to lead self-reliant, stable, and productive lives. Located in the heart of West Los Angeles, Vista’s expansive 17-acre campus provides a peaceful setting where the majority of services are provided. All services strive to provide children and families with the tools they need to learn and grow and include in-depth resources for parents and caregivers. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO is responsible for planning, implementing, supervising and assessing Vista’s operations in support of the programs provided. The CEO will ensure that the mission is carried out and will provide vision and operational leadership for the organization’s future growth and development. As a highly visible representative of Vista, the CEO is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with various constituencies including children and their families, Board members, funders, volunteers, government, and partner agencies. Vista has an annual operating budget of $45 million. The President & CEO must possess a passion for working with children, adolescents and their families. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team builder, mentor, and seasoned leader who operates with a strategic perspective while executing the day-to-day activities. Proven fundraising experience and the ability to relate comfortably with a variety of funding sources, including public funding stream contacts, foundations, and individuals are essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading a diverse human service, corporate or nonprofit organization that is recognized for its commitment of exemplary service to the community. An understanding of current developments in the field of human services and their potential impact on Vista would be highly valued. An advanced degree is strongly preferred.
