Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and resourceful individual to join our team as a Resource Manager for Community Development. This role plays a crucial part in acquiring, organizing, and managing essential resources for our community initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and networking skills to foster connections with other non-profit organizations, ensuring collaborative efforts towards shared goals. Additionally, the Resource Manager will provide crucial support to project managers by coordinating resources for upcoming projects and ensuring their successful execution.
Roles & responsibilities
Resource Acquisition: Identify, research, and acquire resources needed for community programs, projects, and initiatives. These resources could include materials, funding, volunteers, partnerships, and services.
Resource Organization: Develop and implement efficient systems to categorize, store, and manage acquired resources. Maintain accurate records to ensure resources are readily accessible when needed.
Networking: Attend relevant events, conferences, and meetings to connect with potential resource providers and partners. Leverage networking opportunities to expand the pool of available resources.
Collaboration: Establish and maintain relationships with other non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, and community stakeholders. Collaborate on resource-sharing, joint projects, and initiatives to amplify community impact.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Community Development, Business Administration) or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in resource management, community development, or nonprofit operations.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Networking prowess to establish and nurture relationships with other nonprofit organizations and community partners.
Problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges and adapt to changing circumstances.
Proficiency in using technology for resource tracking, management, and reporting.
Passion for community development and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the nonprofit sector.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute to the success of the organization beyond the scope of the role.
