The Budget Assistant is responsible for managing the organization's funding systems and funding streams effectively. This role includes developing and monitoring budgets, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and providing oversight of financial operations related to grants and contracts. The assistant will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline funding processes, track expenditures, and prepare detailed financial reports.
Roles & responsibilities
Ability to create, manage, and monitor budgets
Understand revenue projections, expenses, and financial goals
Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
Proficiency in Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
Develop long-term financial plans
Set budget priorities aligned with organizational goals
Prepare and explain financial reports, proposals, and updates
Work cross-functionally with departments to gather inputs and align budgets
