About this job

The Social Impact Catalyst will be responsible for day-to-day community management to help create a warm, welcoming online community while creating engaging content (blogs, LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and social media content) that uplifts and informs the InHerShoes community and beyond. Your energy and passion for social impact and social media as a communication tool for social impact will result in expanding InHerShoes’ social media audience, increasing organizational awareness, impact partnerships, and generating valued community engagement and connection.

Roles & responsibilities

- Moderate the social community, responding to all public and private inquiries across platforms, and engaging with followers and other users to build a positive relationship with our organization

- Support in initiating social impact partnerships across non-profits, brands, and communities that align with the InHerShoes mission

- Assist in creating and maintaining the monthly social calendar

- Track all channel sentiment through monthly reporting and recaps

- Create relevant and engaging original content for InHerShoes’ communication channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, newsletters, and blog) reacting to current trends and creating shareable moments on the platform

- Manage tracking for all social assets and ensure deadlines are met.

- Use tools and platforms like Canva and Squarespace as part of the success of your role

- Collaborate with the greater InHerShoes team and relevant partners to develop social media campaigns that are consistent with the organization’s mission and brand identity

- Assist the InHerShoes Community Lead with day-to-day functions, as needed.



• 1+ years of experience in marketing or related field

• Strong passion for social impact, social, branding, and all things marketing

• Problem solving and critical thinking skills required

• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with a team-player mindset

• Strong Canva and content creation and editing skills with an eye for brand identity

• Strong Google Drive Suite skills with an eye for formatting

• Highly organized

• Impeccable attention to detail

• Strong time management skills

• Entrepreneurial, “roll up your sleeves” attitude
