Development Manager

ICAN is a nonprofit that empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to discover and achieve their own "I CAN" statement. We do this through programs focused on workforce development, life skills, and social recreational.

The Development Manager will support the organization’s fundraising and grant-seeking efforts by preparing compelling grant applications, drafting grant program designs, and assisting in broader development initiatives. This role requires a combination of strong writing skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with program staff and leadership to align funding opportunities with the organization’s mission and impact goals. The Development Manager reports directly to the Director of Development. This person must have a strong belief in the importance of the ICAN mission and the work we do, with a willingness to learn about and advocate for the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, regardless of prior experience in this field.
