Since 2008, H4WRD has been leading the critical conversations on preventing and ending street homelessness in Greater Hollywood. Today, Hollywood 4WRD is a coalition driven to create systemic change to effectively address homelessness in Hollywood through advocacy, education, service coordination, and innovation. We are a small, but mighty staff with a hugely supportive Board of Directors and highly engaged membership spanning big and small business, local residents, faith organizations, service providers and more!

About this job

This full-time, non-exempt position supports administrative and programmatic functions for Hollywood 4WRD. This position is hybrid with at least three days in office work expected; some weeks will require in office work five days. $23 to 25 per hour ($48,000-$52,000 annually), plus a stipend for phone and health and option for 403(b) contribution.

Roles & responsibilities


1. Provide administrative support to staff and members including answering phones, responding to emails, taking notes and assisting with general communication

2. Manage online JoinIt membership database

3. Schedule and coordinate groups, webinars, meetings, appointments, and events

4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files

5. Submit invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable through Bill.com

6. Assist with grant requests by preparing financial and programmatic data as needed

7. Assist with content and data for annual report


1. Event coordination in support of “Hollywood 2.0” including vendor selection, venue site visits and preparation, arranging caterers, A/V, printing, setup and breakdown, etc.

2. Recruiting and training volunteers to assist in event execution


1. Attend meetings including those with H4WRD board members, members, government partners and service providers, donors, and vendors.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Enthusiasm for the mission of Hollywood 4WRD.

2. Proficiency in organizing and scheduling and virtual meeting software, DocuSign, google drive.

3. General ability to track revenue and expenses using accounting software, Bill.com.

4. Database management.

5. This job description represents the major functions of the position, but is not intended to be all-inclusive. Evening and weekends may be required.

Education and Experience

College degree and/or similar life experience (community organizing, volunteer management) desired
