Girls IN Focus's mission is to connect girls and non-binary youth globally with our trailblazing film programs and have them emerge as industry leaders. Our four unique and supportive programs are both online and in-person, and offer girls and non-binary youth from around the globe an opportunity to connect and create films together from concept to festival-ready films. We provide a safe and dedicated environment, where A-list film industry professionals teach workshops and guide the filmmaking journey for youth.

Role Description
This is a part-time, remote unpaid internship role for 501(c)3 non-profit, filmmaking org. Girls IN Focus that can turn into a paid position after 3 mos. As an intern, you will work alongside industry experts to gain hands-on experience in film production, non-profit entrepreneurship and film education. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to assisting with administrative tasks from scheduling, grant writing, marketing, coordinating events and programs, graphic/web design, fund-raising and film production.

The intern should be an independent self starter, organized, flexible, reliable, willing to learn and have great communication skills written and verbal. The position requires starting projects and reporting back as they are finished in a timely manner. Asking questions if need be and being involved in general operations of all the branches of the non-profit.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Passionate and enthusiastic about filmmaking and storytelling
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
Some experience in film production or related fields (e.g., video production, photography, etc.)
Drive to learn and innovate under the guidance of film industry professionals
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a remote setting
Keen on learning and using industry-standard software/ tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, and other editing and VFX tools, as well as administrative knowledge of excel, google and canva.
Currently pursuing a degree in Film, Media, or a related field (or recently graduated)
Open to collaborating with an international and diverse group of girls and non-binary youth, and with different time zones
Able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week for three months (with potential for extension)
