Our programs are available to over 8,400 students in 14 Southern California high schools across 5 school districts. EXP brings industry and schools together to provide students with access to education, experience, and opportunities, with over 400 industry leaders participating as volunteers, mentors, and internship hosts annually.

About this job

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Internship Program Manager. Our office is located in Long Beach, CA serving high school sites across Southern California. The Internship Manager is responsible for the overall success of the EXP Internship Program, which is one of EXP’s most visible and well-respected work-based learning programs. The position is responsible recruiting and engaging industry and community partners, ensures the quality of the Career Readiness Certification curriculum, and coordinates with school-based Program Managers on successfully executing workshop curriculum to students.

Roles & responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

-Industry & Community Relations Management: build and maintain relationships with individuals, industries, organizations, government entities, colleges and other community organizations with the primary goal of internship placement and volunteer recruitment through the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas

-Student/School Program Delivery: responsible for curriculum content for Career Readiness Certification program and supporting in-school program delivery

-Program Administration: responsible for overall program plan, design, delivery and evaluation to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or related field

• 4-5 years Program Coordination and Management skills

• Experience in volunteer management and engaging with industry partners

• Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills

• Organizational and Time Management skills

• Experience in event planning and execution

• Experience in working with high school students is a plus

• Experience in work-based learning environment strongly preferred
