Chrysalis is searching for a skilled marketing and communications professional to serve as a temporary Marketing & Communications Manager for a three to six-month assignment on our busy development and communications team. This short-term, full-time position will be perfect for a detail-oriented communications strategist, who can excel at communicating about the Chrysalis mission and brand.

We are looking for a strong project manager, skilled writer, and designer. We need someone who can craft compelling marketing materials, with experience in non-profit emails, and maintain the organization’s website. The preferred candidate should be able to make ongoing adjustments to priorities and can respond to new opportunities. This position is a hybrid work arrangement and the incumbent will need to be in office 3 days per week. The pay range for the position is $40.00 - $42.00 per hour.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Produce creative content for fundraising campaigns and fundraising events.
  • Manage the organization’s Mailchimp email marketing platform.
  • Execute on the implementation the Development & Communication’s Department’s Giving Tuesday and End of Year fundraising campaigns.
  • Contribute to the planning of the 2026 communications plan.
  • Ensure that the website CMS platform is up-to-date, secure, and content is current. Receive and implement requests for content updates and page requests from across the organization; contribute to keyword audits and optimization of ChangeLives.org SEO ranking. Utilize Google Analytics platform. Manage outside web vendor(s) and work with internal IT department to ensure that all security and tracking systems protocols are optimized.
  • Develop a wide range of organizational materials from copywriting to content creation, design, and execution; materials include annual reports, brochures, fact sheets, newsletters, fundraising appeals, event materials, email, website, and social media content, and other branded collateral.
  • Maintain brand guidelines for all Chrysalis print and digital materials.
  • Provide general marketing communications support to the Development & Communications Department as needed and take on other duties as assigned.
  • This position is a hybrid work arrangement and requires the incumbent to be in office 3 days a week.
  • Adhere to all Chrysalis policies and procedures.
  • Support the Chrysalis Mission and adhere to the Chrysalis Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

  • Support the Chrysalis mission.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong graphic design capability using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and accurately complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines and changing priorities.
  • 3+ years communications or marketing experience in an agency or nonprofit.
  • Experience using MailChimp, WordPress, or other CMS required.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media communications strategies.
  • Willingness to travel to meetings (mileage reimbursed)
  • Has the ability to work occasional night and weekend fundraising events.
