Job title: Assistant to Department Head

Reporting: Head of Good Robot

Good Robot leads social impact, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at Bad Robot Productions and Bad Robot Games.

Roles & responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Head of Good Robot including scheduling meetings, overseeing the calendar, tracking and submitting expenses, coordinating travel, and preparing briefs for meetings

• Prepare agendas and conduct all necessary preparation - including research, vetting of requests, and information-gathering

• Serve as point and key information holder on day-to-day activities for all Good Robot initiatives and projects, maintaining a department calendar and project tracker

• Coordinate logistics and track impact for Good Robot events and programming

• Serve as point to Finance for check requests, grant agreements, and other necessary documents needed for social impact initiatives

• Contribute ideas for service opportunities and other employee engagement events, as well as generate excitement among staff

• In partnership with department leadership, provide input into the development and coordination of programs and initiatives to drive and integrate DEI practices throughout the organization

• Draft internal communications for social impact campaigns, DEI updates, and other departmental needs as they arise

• Secure facilities and other resources required for successful program delivery

• Support department leadership in delivering on strategy, execution, and regularly reporting on DEI metrics

• Represent Good Robot at select philanthropic events, as requested

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required and a minimum two years of work experience in relevant impact or administrative position

• Strong interest in social justice, DEI, current events, and corporate social responsibility

• Excellent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information

• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to turn tasks around quickly

• Outstanding time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Ability to work enthusiastically and with exceptional professionalism in a fast-paced environment

• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work in a team environment

• Strong command of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with project management tools (Slack and Airtable experience are a plus)

• Knowledge of Los Angeles' entertainment, social, and cultural landscape preferred
