About this job
The Community Outreach Scout interacts closely with community members and community partners, including but not limited to: community outreach and education, and community partner relationship-building. The person will promote the services provided by AJSOCAL’s Litigation Department by cultivating relationships with community partners and actively engaging in community outreach opportunities (e.g. community meetings and events).
This is a part-time (20 hours per week) for 6 months.
Roles & responsibilities
95% Community and Client Engagement
Promote AJSOCAL’s Litigation Department, by engaging community members in traditional and creative forms of community outreach.
Cultivate community partnerships with community-based organizations, community organizers, government departments, and other groups that provide benefits and services.
5% Other Duties as Assigned
Create language specific content for various channels and usage.
Support outreach campaigns of other AJSOCAL programs/departments, as needed.
Qualifications
Track record of direct community service with AAPI community members/CBOs, including volunteer experience.
