The Senior Specialist, Advancement Services supports the Advancement Services team in gift administration, data management, and donor recognition.
Roles & responsibilities
Oversee the integrity of the museum’s Salesforce CRM by maintaining daily operations, ensuring data accuracy through reporting and revenue audits, development and distribution of donation reports and dashboards.
Manage all aspects of gift administration, including individual, corporate, and foundation gifts, invoicing, and acknowledgment, in accordance with industry best practices and IRS guidelines.
Support the development of database user guides and trainings for department users.
Work closely with all Museum and Academy teams to properly manage donor data and resolve Advancement-related data issues.
In partnership with the Associate Director, Advancement Services, assist with the donor recognition process by overseeing areas of credit line implementation.
Support prospect research projects on an as-needed basis by assisting with report development, iWave wealth screenings, and the development of Salesforce dashboards.
Assist with fundraising activities and events as needed.
Qualifications
Required Competencies:
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an advancement role.
Advanced proficiency with donor management software, preferably Salesforce NPSP.
Strong understanding of gift acceptance best practices and experience handling payment transactions.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Highest degree of professionalism and discretion in dealing with donor information.
Self-motivated with the ability to successfully coordinate projects, deadlines, and priorities independently and in collaboration with others.
Experience managing multiple projects at once.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience in non-profit or arts and culture institution strongly desired.
