About this job
Under the Direction of the Sr Prep Manager, the Career Pathways Coordinator implements program and agency goals, REACH objectives, agency best practices, and program efficiencies. This staff position will be responsible for coordinating employment pathways that will offer career opportunities for APCH members to develop creative, vocational, and entrepreneurial careers. The program will identify mission-related internal/external internship opportunities for members from all APCH program departments. The Coordinator will work in partnership with the Career Guidance Assistant Manager to support members in developing APCH PREP courses and programs embedded with enterprise, entrepreneurship, and workforce skill development in the curriculum.
Roles & responsibilities
Program Coordination
Coordinate across all APCH programs, in cooperation with SR. Manager of Prep and Career Guidance Assistant Manager all external Internship opportunities
Develop Career pathways marketing collateral materials to present to all APCH members
Coordinate Prep Career Internship/Externship annual calendar opportunities in partnership with Career Guidance Assistant Manager
Research and Coordinate Career - Readiness Field trips, External Career/Job Fairs, coordinate Speaker Series as needed. Help maintain a database of vocational opportunities.
Responsible for the administration of careers assessments for all members in high school and provide resources to help high school members realize and focus their strengths, skills and passions
Program Implementation
Support recruiting members to participate in PREP programs- Develop recruitment materials in partnership with PREP Team
Work with APCH staff and members to promote and bring products to market, including at APCH Special events throughout the year: Farmer’s Market, Holiday event and Summer Biz camp.
Collaborate with other APCH Departments: Wellness, ACE and Education Services to facilitate Career Development Pathway opportunities for APCH Members and advertise External Internship opportunities in partnership with Sr. Prep Manager. Bridge the gap across APCH programs ( ACE, Wellness, Education Services and TYAS) creating opportunities for enterprising and entrepreneurship.
Responsible for curating articles and writing Bi-Monthly (every two months) PREP Newsletter: distributed to TYAS, Wellness, ACE and Ed Services members.
Support Biz Camp Summer Session logistics which include Farmer’s Market and BIZ Camp Fast Pitch Event
Support classroom teaching with NFTE Entrepreneurial Essentials curriculum
Cultivate members that can rely on self regulation and reflection to make meaningful career, personal/professional decisions.
Track workforce trends and innovations to help inform curriculum and Entrepreneurial program pathways across APCH programs.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Psychology, Sociology or related field
Two years’ experience in career readiness and or Job workforce development
Experience delivering workshops and presentations geared towards youth aged 14-21 years old
Experience in coordinating Internship programs
Physical and Mental Demands
Able to work in a dynamic and high noise level environment typical of a youth center
Walking, standing required on daily basis
Sitting and use of hands/vision for computer work for extended periods of time
Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
