RIVER LA SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP
River LA, formerly the Los Angeles River Revitalization Corporation, is a nonprofit whose mission is to ensure the 51-mile Los Angeles River integrates design and infrastructure to bring people, water and nature together. We champion river-oriented policy and sustainable public spaces, while creating innovative models for community benefit and participation.
River LA bridges the public and private sectors to transform the LA River corridor into an attractive destination and transformative economic zone. The 51-mile river is a great untapped resource that can connect and revitalize our neighborhoods, create multiple spaces for recreation and art, improve our green space and natural environment, support a more integrated and sustainable water system and attract investment to boost the local economy.
Under the supervision of the Operations and Communications Manager, the intern will assist with marketing and office administration tasks such as:
1. Make updates to the River LA website, write blog posts, support the development of online fundraising programs, and assist the communications team in general.
2. Assisting with activities related to content creation, social media execution, press management, and website design.
3. Support data management and digital engagement in River LA’s CRM (Nationbuilder).
4. Identify potential River LA influencers and facilitate outreach and cultivation. Successful candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with web production is a plus.
The Internship requires a commitment of 10 hours per week. You must be eligible for federal work study. No phone calls.
