Description

B.R.I.D.G.E Theatre Project is currently seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to supervise and support domestic after-school theatre programs (grades 4-8) while assisting company directors with daily organizational operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Program Oversight/Supervision at multiple school sites in Lynwood, CA:
    • Coordinate program details with principals and school administrative staff
    • Review Teaching Artists’ lesson plans and play progress, provide guidance and ensure deadlines are met
    • Lead and assist with recruitment presentations
    • Visit program sessions at schools, provide support where needed and offer constructive feedback
    • Facilitate communication among teaching artists and design team
    • Manage technical rehearsals and emcee culminating production
  • Program Scheduling
  • Communication and Outreach (Spanish-speaking ability preferred, but not required)
  • High School Mentor Coordination
  • Production Support at program sites
  • Compiling and Tracking Attendance Data for all programs
  • Updating and Organizing Program Documents
  • Planning and Coordinating other program-related events
  • Maintaining Inventory of program supplies
  • Compiling Evaluation Data and Creating Data Reports
  • Marketing and Publicity Support (including social media updates)
  • Generating Contracts for Company Staff
  • Training Support
  • Grant-seeking and Drafting Proposals
  • Hiring Assistance/Job Recruitment
  • Office Organization
  • Filing and Recordkeeping
  • Assisting Company Directors with other tasks as needed


B.R.I.D.G.E Theatre Project is a rapidly-growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering intensive theatre programs to youth, both locally and internationally. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and connect young people around the globe through intensive theatre education programs that encourage self-expression, foster self-confidence, promote cultural tolerance, expand world views and perspectives, and explore solutions to community problems through the creation and exchange of original plays and theatrical productions. In addition to our domestic work in Lynwood, CA, B.R.I.D.G.E has held programs overseas in Ecuador, Nepal, and this past summer in Rwanda. Founded in 2009, our name – Building Relationships and Inspiring Dialogue through Global Exchange (B.R.I.D.G.E) – continues to guide us in our growth and expansion.

The Program Coordinator is a full-time position reporting to B.R.I.D.G.E Theatre Project’s Co-Executive Artistic Directors. Most administrative work can be done from home, with flexible working hours, save for required workshops, meetings, and other scheduled appointments as agreed upon. Annual salary is in the mid- to upper-$30K range, commensurate with experience. This position is likely to grow into a managerial role in the future.
