Bicycle Transit Systems (Bike Transit) aims to be the global leader in bike share system implementation and operation. Leveraging over 25 years combined experience of our staff in sustainable transportation, Bike Transit brings a new approach to the planning, implementation and operation of bike share systems.

In partnership with Los Angeles Metro, Bike Transit has launched the Downtown Los Angeles Pilot Bike Share Program, Metro Bike, with approximately 61 stations and 700 bicycles. This year we have expanding to over 1,300 bicycles in Pasadena, Venice and The Port of LA. Future Rapid expansion up to 4,000 bicycles is anticipated in the following years. Our mission is to make bike share a healthy, easy, accessible and enjoyable way to get around Los Angeles.

The Brand Ambassador, reporting directly to the Events Coordinator, is responsible for selling Metro Bike Share passes at events, building the Metro Bike Share brand, spreading the word in the community, being an advocate for bike riding, and gets paid while doing it. Metro Bike Share Brand Ambassadors are outgoing and highly personable, knowledgeable, customer service-oriented individuals who live and breathe the Metro Bike Share brand. They will speak to and show individual community members, tourists, and groups how to use Metro Bike Share. Applicants must be team-players available to work weekdays and/or weekends, and must have experience working with the general public. Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Events Coordinator
  • Maintain knowledge on the product and services to inform customers
  • Attend and host events, where you may perform any of the following:
  • Set up booth activation with team and maintain quality standards
  • Engage and network with potential customers in the community
  • Promote and educate customers on how Metro Bike Share works
  • Sell Metro Bike Share passes
  • Demonstrate bike features, check in/out procedures for bikes and kiosk sign up to potential customers
  • Provide customer service to pass holders at events using company software via tablet and/or laptop
  • Ability to write detailed notes describing the event and feedback from customers/potential customers.
  • Closely observe stations and report any graffiti, litter or maintenance issues to our Operations Team
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Excitement/passion in bike sharing, marketing, customer service and sales!
  • Bilingual- Spanish speaking required
  • Events may require you to ride a Metro Bike Share bicycle
  • Outgoing, friendly and highly personable
  • Professional
  • Team player
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Evening and weekend availability.
  • Ability to learn new computer software. Experience with Google applications a plus
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds.

Part Time - Up to 20 hours per week, a contract position through Accel.
