InHerShoes is a registered non-profit where the foundation of everything we do begins and ends with one question: What would you do if you were 1% more courageous? Our mission is simple: catalyze courage for young girls to make a difference in their communities, now. We work with first generation girls from modest means and create programs that allow them to stand in their accomplishments, ideate the change they want to make in their communities, and give them resources and scholarship to bring their idea to life. We’re committed to unlocking the genius of a generation to re-defy traditional standards of what it looks like to be a successful woman today.
What We're Looking For:
A jack-of-all-trades superstar Junior Editor. You have great taste and an innate sense of what makes a good story. You bring your unique experience working with writers to deliver articles and beautifully written stories to a wide digital audience; we bring a platform capable of reaching huge swaths of the internet with stories about a courageous world. You believe in InHerShoes’s Mission and are a representation of being 1% more courageous. We are in search of an energetic, enthusiastic Junior Editor who has the confidence to work with both staff and freelance writers to deliver engaging, empathetic, sharply reported true stories and essays built to be shared widely across the internet and among your peers. You’re a team player with no shortage of smart, unexpected approaches and original ideas, and you’re experienced in helping writers share their unique voice. You know how to move people using text, images, and video.
What will you get?
